The Bazar de l'Hôtel de Ville (City Hall Bazaar) deserves its name: it's a paradise for seekers of do-it-yourself items and home furniture. With several thousand square feet of goods, you can find everything your house requires, as well as the regular department store fare of fashion, beauty, books, CDs and toys. This is considered one of the least expensive department stores in Paris, as well as the smallest, and is usually packed. Stop for some coffee and a slice of apple tart or a quiche at the Bricolo Café (basement level).
