The dishes presented here are works of art, as is the décor - varnished pottery, columns, lanterns, bamboo screens and tropical plants surround you as you feast. Mr Vong owns the place since the 1980's and he makes sure everything is perfect at all times. The service is friendly and the menu tasty - savour the subleties of plain sautéed shrimp, jumbo rock lobster with ginger or exotic lacquered squab. There is another Chez Vong in the eighth arrondissement, at 27, Rue du Colisée. Expect to spend EUR53-EUR61 dining à la carte.
