Not only opera, but also all kinds of classical music (not to mention jazz and cultural and political programs) are presented for free or at laughable cost here at the Maison de Radio France, the national radio service's headquarters. The concerts are broadcast live or taped for later, and audience members often spend hours outside waiting to get in, not such a bad thing, as it gives one the chance to study the building itself (1963), H Bernard's pre-postmodern masterpiece.
