Some 85,000 posters invite you to go back in time - as far back as the 19th century - to witness the beginning of advertising together with the advent of consumerism in an industrially prosperous France. Since then, product advertisements and displays have proliferated on city walls. Throughout the museum, visitors will appreciate the development of slogans, graphics and brand image. Works by known and unknown artists (Mucha, Bonnard, Lautrec etc) illustrate the typical changes of trademarks in the history of French society.
