Situated in the Hotel des Invalides, this museum is dedicated to military history from the Stone Age to the end of World War II. Commemorative objects are displayed in two buildings: the Orient and the Occident. Besides armour and weapons, the collection of swords, Chinese and Japanese war costumes and Napoleon's mementos are all quite remarkable. There is also the Emperor's campaign tent as well as a reproduction of the room he died in, while in exile. Admission: EUR6; free for children 12 and younger.
