This museum was founded from the private collection of an industrialist from Lyons, Emile Guimet, who left it to the State in 1885. The works exhibited illustrate the art and spiritual history from South East Asia, India, Afghanistan, Central Asia, Japan, and Korea. Admission is 16F (EUR 2.44) for adults, and concessions of 12F (EUR 1.83) are available.
