Overlooking the Parc Monceau, this mansion built at the beginning of the century houses a wonderful collection of furniture, carpets, porcelain, tapestries and paintings from the 18th century. The Count Moïse de Camondo, a French man born into a wealthy Jewish family of bankers from Constantinople, lived here before the first World War. He bequeathed this property to France in memory of his son Nissim who died during the War. The rooms are elegantly decorated. The walls are adorned with paintings and tapestries by Aubusson, Beauvais, Savonnerie and Gobelins, all of which have been well preserved over the years. The silver and china dinner services, the circular shaped sitting room and the amazing bathroom are as impressive as the building itself. Admission: adults EUR3.81; concessions EUR2.77; under age 18 free.
