In his singsong accent, Mario (the restaurant's Roman owner) announces the culinary delights featuring on the menu. He's also quick to point out that he uses real saffron, gathered from flower pistils, and not its powdered substitute (a pale imitation of the real thing often used as a colouring) to give his rizotto zaferano (saffron risotto) its rich flavour and colour. You won't find anything but the real McCoy here and the restaurant's regulars know they're on to a good thing.

Ate there 7/06...nice looking restaurant in nice neighborhood...poor food quality...veal that my wife and I had was like shoe leather...overpriced...ham and melon was 25 euros...total bill for two adults and three kids was 250 euros...worst dining experience of our trip.
